Welcome to comprimirimagem.wiki ("we", "us" or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies when you visit the site, use the image compressor, download a result, contact support or read our public information pages. It is written to describe the ordinary data flows for this browser-based tool; a future feature that changes those flows should be documented before it is introduced.
1. Browser-based image processing
The standard JPG, PNG and WebP compression and resize workflow runs in your browser. Your selected image is read by your device to create a preview and downloadable result, and the ordinary conversion does not require the source file to be uploaded to our server. Temporary browser memory, object URLs and downloaded files remain subject to your browser and device settings.
Local processing is helpful for private drafts, client images and unreleased work, but it does not change your responsibility for the files you select or publish. Keep your own copy of important originals and outputs.
2. Information we may collect
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating-system details, approximate region, timestamps, referring page and error information.
- Usage information: Pages viewed, interaction events, selected language, tool settings and general performance signals that help us understand whether the site works.
- Support information: The email address, message content and attachments you choose to send to support@comprimirimagem.wiki.
- Identifiers and preference signals: Cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers or similar browser signals where a third-party analytics or advertising product uses them in accordance with its own settings and policies.
We do not require an account for basic compression. We do not intentionally collect the pixel content of your source image through the ordinary local workflow.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain and improve the compressor and public pages.
- Measure page performance, accessibility, reliability and feature use.
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot errors and protect the site and visitors.
- Respond to support requests, corrections and product feedback.
- Serve, measure and limit advertising where advertising products are enabled and permitted.
We use aggregated or limited technical signals to find broken layouts, slow pages, failed downloads and confusing settings. We do not use the ordinary browser compressor workflow as a private image-hosting or image-profiling service.
4. Google products, advertising and measurement
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and general site usage, and Microsoft Clarity to understand page interactions through clicks, scrolling and session recordings. These services may process browser and device details, viewed URLs, interaction events, approximate location and online identifiers. The upload panel and generated-result list are marked to mask their contents in Clarity recordings. Standard compression remains in your browser; avoid selecting sensitive files if you do not want surrounding page activity to be measured. See the Google Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement.
The site may use Google products, including Google AdSense or related publisher and measurement services, to verify the site, serve advertising, measure ad performance and help prevent invalid activity. Google and its partners may collect or receive information such as IP address, cookie or device identifiers, browser details, approximate location, page or ad interactions and other signals needed for these purposes. They may use, share and retain that information according to their own product documentation, settings and privacy policies.
The site may also load advertising scripts from other third-party networks. Depending on the network and its configuration, those scripts may request browser, device, approximate location, cookie or interaction signals to deliver, measure, limit or protect advertising. Each provider may process information under its own privacy policy and terms; review those policies when the provider is identified in an ad or browser request.
When ads are served, third parties, including Google and its advertising partners, may place or read cookies on your browser and may use web beacons, pixels, IP addresses or other identifiers to recognize a browser, measure delivery, limit frequency, prevent fraud or personalize advertising where allowed. Blocking or resetting cookies can change ad personalization and measurement, but it should not be required for the basic local compressor to open.
For an explanation of how Google uses data on partner sites, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google may provide additional controls for ad personalization and privacy in its own products.
5. Cookies and web beacons
We may use necessary cookies or similar storage for security, delivery, preferences and basic measurement. Analytics and advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, local storage, IP addresses and other identifiers to understand visits, report performance, prevent abuse and serve ads. A web beacon is a small electronic tag or request that can help a provider measure whether a page or message was viewed.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through a provider's privacy controls. Some site functions or measurements may become less accurate when cookies are blocked.
6. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with hosting, security, analytics, advertising, email and legal service providers when needed to operate the website, serve or measure ads, answer support requests, investigate abuse or comply with law. These providers may process information under their own contracts, terms and privacy policies.
We may disclose information when required by legal process, to protect rights and safety, to investigate security incidents or as part of a legitimate business transfer. We aim to disclose only what is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
7. Retention and security
We retain technical logs, analytics records and support messages only for as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, measurement, support and legal compliance. The ordinary local conversion does not intentionally store your source image on our server. Browser previews and downloaded files may remain on your device until you remove them.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no website or browser can guarantee perfect security. Keep your browser updated, use trusted networks and contact us if a download or page behaves unexpectedly.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. You can also control many cookies and advertising settings in your browser or through the relevant provider. To ask a privacy question or make a request, email support@comprimirimagem.wiki.
We may need enough information to verify a request and locate the relevant records. If you only used the local compressor without contacting us, there may be little personal content for us to identify beyond ordinary technical logs, cookie signals or provider records.
9. Children's privacy
Compress Image is a general-audience website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
10. External links and policy updates
Our pages may link to browser documentation, standards, Google resources or other external sites. Those sites have their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content or data practices. Review an external provider's policy before submitting information there.
We may update this policy when the site, hosting, analytics, advertising or support workflow changes. We will change the effective date and publish the updated text on this page.
