These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of comprimirimagem.wiki and its browser-based image compressor. By visiting the site or using the tool, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or download generated files.
1. Service description
Compress Image provides a free browser tool and practical guidance for reducing the file size or pixel dimensions of JPG, PNG and WebP images. Features may include automatic compression, target-size presets, custom quality, output-format selection, maximum dimensions, batch processing and ZIP downloads.
The service may change as browser APIs, file formats, hosting and product requirements evolve. We may add, remove, pause or revise a feature without promising that a particular control will remain available forever.
2. Your source images and downloaded files
You are responsible for the images you choose to process and for how you use the downloaded results. Make sure you have the rights needed to copy, modify, compress, resize, download and publish every logo, photograph, illustration or other file you select. The tool does not grant trademark, copyright, publicity or other rights in a source image.
The ordinary conversion is designed to run in your browser, but you remain responsible for keeping backups and checking where your browser stores temporary previews and downloaded files. Do not treat Compress Image as a permanent storage, backup or delivery service.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, attack or interfere with the website or another visitor's use of it.
- Do not use the service to process or distribute unlawful, infringing, harmful or deceptive content.
- Do not upload files designed to exploit a browser, download flow or security control.
- Do not scrape the site aggressively, bypass access controls or misrepresent your relationship with Compress Image.
- Do not use the service in a way that violates applicable law or another person's rights.
4. Quality, format and target-size limits
Compression always involves a trade-off between file size and retained information. Photographs often respond well to JPG or WebP quality changes, while transparent graphics, screenshots and hard-edged logos may need PNG or a larger output. Reducing pixel dimensions can make a bigger difference than lowering quality alone.
A target such as 100 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB is an upper-limit goal, not a guarantee of a particular visual result. The browser may produce a file slightly below the target, and difficult images may need more than one setting or a smaller dimension. Always inspect the result at its real display size and test it in the upload form, website or app that will use it.
5. Availability and browser behavior
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or permanent availability. Canvas encoding, memory limits, file permissions, download behavior and format support can vary by device and browser. If a file fails in one browser, try a current version of another major browser and keep the original file available.
Because the main workflow is local, very large images can use substantial memory on your device. You are responsible for choosing files and settings that your hardware and browser can handle.
6. Intellectual property
The original text, layout, interface elements, organization, code and branding of Compress Image are owned by us or our licensors unless stated otherwise. You may not copy, resell, frame or reproduce the site in a way that suggests an unauthorized relationship.
Your rights in a downloaded result depend on your rights in the source image and any applicable law or third-party agreement. If the source is yours, you normally control your own use of the result. If the source belongs to someone else, obtain permission before publishing it.
7. External resources
The site may link to browser documentation, format specifications, Google resources or other third-party pages. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. Review their terms before relying on an external service or sending information there.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that every image will compress to a requested size, preserve every visual detail, retain every metadata field or work for every browser, form, CMS or deployment pipeline.
You are responsible for reviewing output files, checking transparency and dimensions, confirming that file paths and formats are accepted, and keeping backups before replacing an original.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compress Image and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages arising from use of the site, inability to use it, a failed conversion, a downloaded file, lost data, business interruption or a replacement service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow every limitation, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In that case, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the tool, browser technology, legal requirements, support channels or site operations change. We will publish the revised text and update the effective date. Continued use after the change means the updated Terms apply to future use.
